The first thing to think about is the battery. You should always try the power source, so ask the owner to make sure it is charged before you arrive. Once again, you can easily change the tires, you’ll need to use the scooter until then so tires need to be reasonably OK. Now check out the seat. It must be comfy and functional. Seats can be upgraded, but you do want a scooter that is comfortable at the outset. Some considerations when considering the seat are whether you would rather have a seat covered in vinyl or cloth. Vinyl is much easier to clean but can be hot and uncomfortable in warmer weather. A cloth covered seat is more comfortable but harder to clean.  For extended periods of sitting, any type of seat may become uncomfortable.

There are options to substitute or upgrade most of the parts and accessories. Thus, you can modify the scooter in line with your particular needs. The seat, battery, tires and battery charger are some of the many features that can be exchanged on your mobility scooter.

It’s a good idea to chat about the mobility scooter with the present owner. This way you can find out how much the scooter has been used and if there are problems you need know about. Remember that you can replace many parts of the used mobility scooter you purchase!
