If you are a small business owner, your business should probably have an Instagram account. It’s an affordable way to organically grow your business.
One common and easily fixable mistake small business owners may make when creating an account for their business is not utilizing the function of having a business account.
Having a business account will allow you to view analytics and insights of your posts, whereas a normal account won’t allow you to do this. These insights are key to helping you reach your social media goals and know what will work best for your business.
Setting Up Your Business Account
It’s pretty easy to switch your normal account to a business account. And if you don’t have an account at all, the first step is to make one. After having an account, follow these steps to turn it into a business account:
1. Tap on your profile in the bottom right hand corner.
2. Tap the three lines in the top right hand corner.
3. Tap on Settings.
4. Tap on Switch to Professional Account.
5. Search for and select whichever category applies to your business.
6. Tap Done.
And that’s it! Now you’re operating from a business account and you’ll be able to see all of your insights.
