- Calculate the profit from search engine traffic to your business. Take all those number above and divide them by something called “cost per acquisition” (or CPA for short). For example; if I make $2 from every person who views my blog post but it costs me $0.50 per visitor then my CPA would be 2 divided by .5 which equals 4 (and not 5 because I rounded up).
