How It Started

In 2016, Miles Bassett was working as a contract software developer for the state of Colorado. The work was challenging. It was interesting. But it was dry. Gray cubicles, fluorescent lighting, government software that needed to function but nobody cared how it looked.

He wanted to build things that were beautiful. Things that leveraged his creative skills alongside his technical abilities. So he started taking on side projects. Artists, bands, venues, breweries, restaurants. Visual work. Graphic design. Websites.

That side work needed a container. Wildman Web Solutions became the outlet. The alter ego. A chance to let out the creative side, the wild side, that enterprise software development never allowed.

Where It’s Going

When Miles returned to his hometown of Lawrence, Kansas, those side projects turned into something more. Old connections, professional relationships, word of mouth. Wildman Web Solutions grew into a full-service digital marketing agency serving hundreds of small businesses across the region.

But the industry kept moving. AI and automation tools that once required enterprise budgets became accessible to small businesses. The opportunity was clear: help local businesses compete with the same technology that Fortune 500 companies use.

This shift was not a reaction to a trend. Miles first encountered enterprise AI nearly a decade ago while working on large-scale technology projects. He saw where things were heading. Now the market has caught up, and Wildman Web Solutions is ready.

Real Technical Depth

 Before Wildman Web Solutions, Miles spent years as a contract software engineer working with some of the largest organizations in the world. Fortune 500 companies, major financial institutions, state and federal government agencies. Enterprise-scale systems, complex integrations, and emerging technologies including early AI implementations.

That background informs everything we do. This is not a marketing agency experimenting with AI tools. This is a technology company that understands how these systems actually work.
