Willows Bend Wedding & Event Venue stands on family land near Carbondale, Kansas, homesteaded in the late 1800s and surrounded by water on three sides. Couples describe the setting as a country but elegant destination wedding, a short drive south of Topeka.
Owners Jim and Michele Shively live across the cove and help each couple plan a one of a kind day. The timber-frame hall seats 300 guests with room left for dancing, and an 800 square foot bridal suite, a groomsmen's room, and a balcony entrance with a wedding bell round out the building.
The all-inclusive packages come with a vendor list, hotel accommodations, shuttle service, and wedding planner recommendations, so couples plan the whole day from one place.
